SHAME
Playback Theater Performance
Playback Theater Performance
Shame is one of the most universal and private human experiences.
It can keep us silent, isolated, and hidden from one another. We carry shame about our bodies, our desires, our mistakes, our families, our past, and sometimes even the parts of ourselves we never chose.
In this Playback Theatre performance, we invite you to explore with us the stories we keep in the dark and witness what happens when they are brought into the light. What happens in the room, in the body, and in the mind when shame is seen and shared?
In Playback Theatre, it is the audience that tells the stories. We use the stage as a space to investigate this powerful emotion. We are not here to judge you, educate you, fix you, or absolve you of your sins. We are here to witness you as you are.
Through audience stories and improvised theatre, we will collectively explore how shame shapes our lives, our relationships, and our sense of self—and what gifts, wisdom, and growth may lie beneath it.
Because sometimes the things we hide most deeply are the things that connect us most profoundly to ourselves and to others.
If you recognize the power of storytelling, ritual, vulnerability, and authenticity—if you have ever felt the transformative impact of collective resonance—we invite you to join us as we explore one of the most powerful and misunderstood emotions we all share.

Jung's Secrets is a collective of Playback Theatre performers brought together by a shared love and appreciation for the teachings and methodologies of Carl Jung. Inspired by concepts such as the Shadow, the Persona, and the many hidden dimensions of the human psyche, we explore how Jungian ideas come alive through personal stories, improvisation, and live performance.
SHAME is our first public performance, and we can't wait to share it with you.
