Expanding the conversation about Boundaries to Needs, Desires & Expectations.
Expanding the conversation about Boundaries to Needs, Desires & Expectations.
In BDSM relationships, we tend to talk extensively about boundaries. boundaries and consent are the absolute foundation of a healthy BDSM relationship when both sides can feel safe to explore each other desires. But is it enough? does this mean we are content and satisfied within those boundaries?
In this workshop, we want to expand the conversation about boundaries to expectations, needs, and desires, and how to communicate them on “both sides of the whip”. We will challenge the misconception that communication of boundaries needs and desires are the responsibility of the submissive alone, and the importance of communicating the desires and needs of the dominant side as well as the submissive, And how to bring it down from the discussion level to the session level.
How do we ask the right questions?
What are the best setting and environments for managing these conversations?
What do we do when expectations are not met?
How can we coordinate expectations with our partners?
We will examine communication tools
Practice respectful non-judgmental communication exercises.
